Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! Last weekend was such a fabulous time to celebrate with family and friends the last few days of summer vacation before school starts.

As summer is coming to an end here on Long Island, there is a noticeable change of energy as we transition to autumn.

In Feng Shui, it is observed how Ch'i changes throughout the year and throughout the day. (Ch’i in Chinese means “life force” or “energy”).

Of the Five Elements in Feng Shui, the Earth Element reflects the same energy as late summer and late afternoon before the sun sets.  An energy that is very soothing and grounding, in a nurturing way.

The characteristics of the Earth Energy in Feng Shui design can have varying shapes, colors of earth tones, fabrics/textures, art and/or design in a space.

There are so many beautiful Feng Shui design elements that represent the Earth Energy that can be implemented in a design plan to balance the Ch’i of a room and/or provide the remedy for creating a nurturing environment (that is soothing and grounding).
